Christmas Eve Lager

This recipe is from Brewing Classic Styles, its the 'Standard American Lager' and is my first attempt at a lager.

5 Gallon Batch

Grain Bill:
  • 8.3 lb - 2 Row
  • 2.0 lb - Rice (Minute Rice)

Hop Schedule:

  • 20 g Williamette (60)

Yeast:

  • Dry Lager Yeast

Schedule:

  • Mashed in Cooler
  • 60 Minute Boil (Split in two parts to fit on stove)
  • Fermenting @ 50 F (Targeting giving it 2-3 weeks at 50 F, then bringing it up to ~60 F to clean up for a week, and then cold crashing at 40 F before transfering)
